AFRIHUD CELEBRATE WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY WITH INTERNALLY DISPLACED PERSONS (IDPs) ON CAMP

Overview:

The Humanitarian Organization under the auspicious leadership of Umar Yakubu Doshiro, Chairman Board of Trustees/President and his formidable team feel it is necessary to celebrate the World Humanitarian Day.

19th of every August was identified by the whole world as Humanitarian Day and the need for Humanitarian NGOs to come together and join forces to assist the vulnerable/affected communities as a result of either Arm Banditry, incessant Kidnapping, Erosions and other Natural Disaster.

The Organization visited the IDPs Camp in Kuta, Shiroro L.G.A of Niger State and Conducted two different types of Survey (Need assessment and

Impact assessment Survey) to both the IDPs and the management Staff of the Camp. This is to ascertain the high level of their vulnerability, the most needed items, their health Status, congestion level, Gender Based Violence faced in the Camp, their physical and psychological conditions. Kobotoolbox was used as a tool to conduct the survey which can be use by our development partners, government, philanthropist, individuals, stakeholders and humanitarian actors to make an informed decision and intervene to this
