AfriHud in partnership with National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Nasarawa State, Keffi Branch celebrated the day with two series of activities mainly Youth oriented. The two programs are; Tree Planting to mitigate the effect of Climate Change considering the 2023 International Youth Day theme: Green Skills for Youth towards a sustainable World and Table Tennis Tournament to identify and recognize the hidden potentials in our youth.
However, it is globally known that climate change has significantly affect our vulnerable communities especially in Nigeria rendering them homeless and foodless. Crop cannot thrive with the kind of weather condition and as an organization, we developed a radical approach to cushion the effects.
Amb. Umar Yakubu Doshiro who is the chairman board of trustees of AfriHud appreciated all the youths
who make significant contribution in one way or the other for the development of his/her community, he said "today is your day, so you need to be celebrated". Furthermore, he also commended the efforts of NYCN Keffi Branch under the leadership of Comrade Idris Muhammad as the Chairman and his Executive Members for open partnership and community development.
Partners who contributed and join the celebration includes; National Agency for the Great Green Wall (NAGGW), Nasarawa State Government, Keffi Local Government Council, Al Sharq Nigeria Hub and other Civil Society Organizations
